  • What can I expect at your shop?

At the time of your appointment, I will greet you and your pup, discuss your desired service, and provide you with an estimated time until pickup. Once the service is complete, I will send you a text message to notify you. If you prefer to pay ahead of pickup, I will send you an invoice at that time. Alternatively, you can pay with cash or a card upon your return.

  • What will my pup’s experience be?

I schedule all appointments as express grooms, which means that I work one-on-one with your pup until the grooming is completed. I prioritize your pup’s comfort and happiness throughout the grooming process. If your pup is not comfortable with something, I will do my best to keep them safe and finish the grooming quickly. While there may be other dogs in the salon at the same time, I can make an effort to find a less busy day and time for your pup if you let me know that they prefer a quieter environment.

  • Are nails included?

All full-service appointments include a bath, hand blow dry, brush out, ear cleaning, and nail trimming. I also offer tooth brushing and a hydrating paw balm for an additional fee. However, I do not offer anal gland expression as it is best to have this procedure performed by a veterinarian.

  • My puppy has never been groomed before! Help?

You don’t have to worry about your puppy’s first appointment with me. I specialize in first-puppy grooms and will ensure that your newest family member has a great start to grooming. During the appointment, I will be patient, and gentle, and provide plenty of praise and excitement. You can rest assured that your puppy is in great hands.

  • My dog is too old/large/anxious to be done straight through. Can you accommodate me?

At our location, we have multiple groomers who work differently and can accommodate nearly everyone. If your dog doesn’t seem like a good fit for my grooming style, I suggest checking out the “Meet the Family” tab on our website and contacting the groomer of your preference.

  • The last groomer shaved my dog and I didn’t like that. Will you shave them too?

The answer to this question is dependent on your dog’s current coat condition. I can leave your pup fluggy if their coat is not matted. But if I'm unable to run a fine-toothed metal comb through the coat, I will have to trim them short enough to get safely between skin and matting. If this is the case, I will communicate with you about the result before I proceed with the haircut. I will also provide advice on at-home coat maintenance and an appropriate grooming schedule. This way we can achieve the look you want at a future appointment.

  • What is your availability?

To ensure that you can get an appointment when you want, I recommend booking your next appointment when you pick up. I typically stay booked out at least several weeks in advance, so this will help you secure a spot that works best for you.

  • Do you use muzzles?

I have extensive experience dealing with difficult dogs, so I can often groom even the most challenging pups without a muzzle. However, if the dog poses a danger to me or themselves during the appointment, I will use a muzzle to ensure everyone’s safety. If the dog cannot be safely groomed even after muzzling, I will stop the service and refer them to another groomer.

  • Can I stay and watch?

For the safety and comfort of all dogs in the shop, including your pup, I kindly request that you wait outside the building until your appointment is finished. Having customers in the lobby can be distracting and stressful for the dogs. The only exception to this rule is for nail trim-only appointments, which typically take only a few minutes to complete.

  • Why is my price different from what I was quoted?

Providing accurate estimates before your appointment can be challenging, especially over the phone without a photo. I do my best to provide an accurate estimate, but many factors can affect how the appointment will go, such as your pup’s behavior. Therefore, please note that the estimate I provide may not be entirely accurate.

  • How often should I schedule my dog?

Most dogs do well on a 6-8 week grooming schedule, often with a nail trim at the half way point. Some dogs may need to be seen sooner depending on their specific needs.
